Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate our security operations across various sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies, managing security personnel, and ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, assets, and personnel. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of security management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and policies to protect the organization’s assets, facilities, and personnel. Regularly review and update security protocols to address emerging threats and operational changes.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily security operations, ensuring that security procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to across all locations. Manage security personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Incident Management: Coordinate and respond to security incidents, emergencies, and breaches. Conduct investigations, prepare incident reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Risk Assessment: Perform regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements. Implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the security operations budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high security standards. Monitor expenditures and provide financial reports as required.
  • Liaison and Collaboration: Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other relevant agencies to enhance security measures and response capabilities. Build and maintain relationships with external security vendors and service providers.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs for security personnel on topics such as emergency response, security procedures, and regulatory compliance. Ensure continuous professional development for the security team.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on security operations, incidents, and performance metrics to senior management. Analyze security trends and provide recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a security management role, with a strong background in overseeing security operations and managing security personnel. Previous experience in a similar industry or with high-profile clients is advantageous.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced qualifications or certifications in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP) are preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as SIA License, security management certifications, or law enforcement credentials are required.
  • Legal Requirements: Must be eligible to work in the UK and have a clean criminal record.
