Position Overview

As a Country Security Manager at Boduguard Security Services, you will oversee and manage all security operations within a designated country. You will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and coordinating with local and global teams to protect the company’s assets, personnel, and operations. Your role is pivotal in maintaining a secure environment and mitigating risks across the country.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Security Strategies: Design and execute comprehensive security strategies and policies tailored to the specific needs of the country. Align these strategies with the company’s global security framework and objectives.
  • Manage Security Operations: Oversee the day-to-day security operations across various sites within the country. Ensure that security measures are effective and operational standards are maintained.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure that all security operations comply with local laws, regulations, and industry standards. Stay updated on changes in legislation and adjust policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of security professionals, including security officers, supervisors, and administrative staff. Provide training, support, and performance evaluations to ensure a high level of competence and professionalism.
  • Coordination and Communication: Act as the primary liaison between local security teams and global headquarters. Coordinate with local authorities, law enforcement, and other external agencies as needed.
  • Incident Management: Oversee the response to security incidents, including emergencies, breaches, and crises. Ensure that incidents are managed effectively, and follow-up actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular reports on security operations, incidents, and risk assessments to senior management. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security activities.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the security budget for the country. Ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented while maintaining high security standards.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Conduct regular drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness for various emergency scenarios.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or advanced certifications in security management is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in security management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. Experience in managing security operations on a national or international scale is preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with senior management, local teams, and external partners.
  • Cultural Awareness: Knowledge of local customs, cultures, and practices. Ability to navigate and operate effectively within diverse environments.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within the country and occasionally internationally as required.

Working Conditions

  • Schedule: Full-time position with potential for extended hours and on-call availability depending on security needs and incidents.
  • Environment: Office-based with frequent site visits. May involve working in various settings, including high-risk areas.
